The Comic Sense

A classic Switch-Foot song.  A talented yet dreamy scientist hops into a taxi, carefully carving plans to draft a power puzzle for satisfying his selfish motives, with a twitch of wickedness, which might result in a city-storming havoc! Meanwhile, A teenager trying tricks to charm his gorgeous lady-love who seems to be struggling up and down to land in the world of fame. Ring a bell yet? You guessed it right! Its the Spiderman. Tobey Maguire rediscovers the smart, alienated adolescent underneath the superhero’s mask, and mocks the heroic crime-fighter conceit without undermining it. Mr. Raimi and the screenwriter David Koepp are masters of pop realism, tossing off easy jokes and corny sentiment with gratifying enthusiasm. The romance between Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) is as ripe as an old Hollywood melodrama. Nevertheless, this good old combination of scriptwriters is mesmerizing. Compelling you to shed a tear or two to the music combination by the infamous Switch-foot Band trio. This movie was quite well applauded by all the age groups.

Development of the film began with the cancellation of Spider-Man 4 in 2010, ending director Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man film series that had starred Tobey Maguire. Opting to reboot the franchise with the same production team, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced The Amazing Spiderman .Reviving the love and belongingness behind the endearing and spellbinding original franchise of The Spiderman, the  new crew  was recently introduced clashing with the all time famous Mr.Raimi, rebooting the with new director Marc Webb and a new cast that included Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. With the addition of a new cast, the movie needed to have special effects to make it endearing unlike the previous one.

However the film fails to respond to the comics’ needs of the ardent Marvel fans, the story is however quite amusing and the movie becomes watchable with the special effects and good-looking cast. The relative characteristics of the character were found to be a little less appealing. The predictable self-obsessions like rejection, inadequacy, and loneliness could be easily identified by with the original Peter Parker. Over the years, much cherished Peter Parker has turned into an anxious and nerdy college student, with a much hyped profession of his, photography. The ardent Marvel comics’ fans are now sweating out, to the killing suspicion of the ‘Superior Spiderman’, series’ film adaption. Hoping that the pigs will never fly, the new crew is reliable.

The Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, The Avengers, has one most famous crew. Selected directly from the Academy Awards Winners, the film has used to the best of the visual effects designers, the ILM( industrial light and magic) could offer. As part of the team nominated for Best Visual Effects at this year’s Academy Awards, Jeff White was the Visual Effects Supervisor at ILM on Marvel’s The Avengers, having worked on a little over 700 shots in the film.  After working as a Creature Technical Director on such films as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and Lemony Snicket’s: A Series of Unfortunate Events, White served as Digital Production Supervisor on Transformers, and then was elevated to Association Visual Effects Supervisor on the subsequent sequels Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon. The movie has many of the breath-taking scenes when it comes to sci-fi objective of the organizationthe . Like the elevation of the Stark tower and having the Helicarrier, building of the aliens to the designing of the weapons of the heroes. the classic one eyed general, giving a shot at guessing the history of it and his miss-perfect-body assistant.

The building of the aliens and their whole attack on New York, along with the Leviathans flying around the city, and being concerned with digital versions of all the Avengers, including  Captain America, for when a digital double was needed.  So,  an amazing amount of variety, unity in diversity and  realistic approach was required for the film.

The set, cast and crew is highly compared to the upcoming flick supposedly released in 2017, The Justice League. Familiarizing with the original series, ‘The Brave and the Bold the Justice League originally featured Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter. The team roster has been rotated throughout the years with characters such as Green Arrow, Captain Marvel, Black Canary, the Atom, Hawkman, Elongated Man, Red Tornado, Firestorm, Zatanna, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, and dozens of others. The expectations are on a rise and the crew is expected to be raising a mark!

The movies may cost an arm and a leg but they are not always worth a mark, but we all can be the backseat driver, enjoying the view and the creation!
